Suspect Arrested in Fatal Stabbing on Hillcroft Avenue

A suspect has been arrested and charged in connection with a fatal stabbing that occurred at 6525 Hillcroft Avenue around 7:45 p.m. on June 5.

Clotius McGee, 24, is charged with murder and tampering with evidence in the 495th State District Court.

The victim has been identified as Samuel Gidey, 30.

According to police, officers responded to a report of a stabbing at an apartment complex and found the victim on his balcony with multiple stab wounds. Paramedics transported him to a hospital, where he later died.

Witnesses reported seeing a man dressed in black flee the scene in a vehicle.

Investigators identified McGee as the suspect. He was arrested on July 31 and charged in the case.
