Barricaded Suspects Apprehended in Harris County

Two individuals, including one with felony warrants, were arrested on Thursday, July 3, 2025, after a welfare check escalated into a brief barricade situation at a residence in the 24300 block of Kennedy Ranch Lane.
Deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to a welfare check, and upon arrival, a male at the location immediately fled inside the residence, barricading himself and a female.

Constable Deputies and K9 units quickly established a perimeter. Through a coordinated effort and strategic communication, deputies successfully convinced the male to surrender without incident.
The male was identified as 55-year-old Michael Prevatt, who had active warrants out of Harris County for Assault with a Previous Conviction and Possession of a Controlled Substance. The female was identified as 48-year-old Elisia Matthews, who had an active misdemeanor warrant, also out of Harris County.
Both suspects were arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for their active warrants. Michael Prevatt’s bond was set at $10,000.00 out of the 230th District Court.
