Man Charged After Striking Houston Hotel Employee with Gun

On June 26, 2025, deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to a reported disturbance in the 16500 block of the North Freeway.

According to investigators, an employee at the location had asked a group of several males to quiet down due to excessive noise during the late night hours. One of the individuals, later identified as 31-year-old Travis Johnson, allegedly punched the employee, then struck him in the face with a handgun, causing visible injuries.

Deputies located Johnson nearby and took him into custody. He was booked into the Harris County Jail and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. His bond was set at $25,000 by the 337th District Court.
