19-Year-Old Drowns in Pond at Wendtwoods Park in The Woodlands

A 19-year-old male drowned Sunday evening, June 29, 2025, at Wendtwoods Park in the Village of Creekside Park, prompting an emergency response from The Woodlands Fire Department and Harris County ESD 11 Mobile Healthcare.

Emergency crews were dispatched at approximately 9:20 p.m. following reports that a person had entered the park pond and had been missing for about 20 minutes. Upon arrival, firefighters initiated a search and, with the assistance of a rescue boat equipped with side scanning sonar, located and recovered the victim’s body.

Deputies with Harris County Constable Precinct 4 also responded to the 8900 block of Creekside Green Drive and confirmed the individual deceased at the scene.

The incident remains under investigation by Constable Mark Herman’s office.
