Arrest Made in Fatal SE Houston Shooting; Teen Charged with Manslaughter

Houston police have arrested Julian Desselle, 18, in connection with the fatal shooting of another 18-year-old male that occurred Monday evening, June 16, at 13958 Cottingham Street. Desselle is charged with manslaughter and tampering with evidence in the 497th State District Court.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants M. Burrow and R. Watson reported that officers responded to a shooting report at an apartment complex parking lot around 8:30 p.m. Monday. They found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported him to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending family notification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

Further investigation quickly identified Desselle as a suspect. He was arrested and charged on June 17 and booked into the Harris County Jail without incident.
