Suspect Arrested and Charged in Fatal Spring Branch East Shooting

Houston police have arrested and charged 23-year-old Rodney Johnson with murder in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred on May 6, at 7550 Long Point Road in the Spring Branch East area. The incident resulted in the death of 37-year-old Keisha Warren and the wounding of a 40-year-old man.
Johnson is charged in the 488th State District Court.
According to HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Duncan and Detective W. Elliott, officers responded to a shooting call around 11:10 p.m. and found both a man and a woman with gunshot wounds in a parking lot at the specified address. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced Ms. Warren deceased at the scene, while the injured male was transported to a local hospital where he was in stable condition.
Further investigation identified Johnson as a suspect in the incident. Officers with the HPD Narcotics Tactical Team apprehended him without incident on Tuesday, June 3, and he was subsequently booked into the Harris County Jail.
