Man Arrested After Theft and Property Damage at CVS in Midtown

A man was arrested on June 1, 2025, following a reported theft and property damage incident at the CVS located at 402 Gray Street in Midtown.
According to the Harris County Constable Precinct 7, the Patrol Division Unit was conducting a business check at the location when a CVS store manager alerted deputies that a Black male was actively stealing merchandise inside the store.
Deputies observed the suspect gathering items before walking past all points of sale without attempting to pay. The suspect fled on foot through the parking lot but was quickly apprehended and placed in handcuffs.
While being transported to the Joint Processing Center (JPC), the suspect began kicking the inside of the patrol vehicle, causing damage to the rear door panel. The Harris County District Attorney’s Office accepted charges for Criminal Mischief, a State Jail Felony.
The suspect was arrested without further incident. No injuries were reported.
