Two Arrested in Connection with Armed Robbery of Armored Truck Guards in Pasadena

Two men have been arrested in connection with the armed robbery of two Loomis Armored Transport guards that occurred on Tuesday, May 6th, at a Chase Bank located at 5150 Fairmont Parkway in Pasadena.

According to the Pasadena Police Department, the robbery took place at the bank’s ATM. Suspects armed with a handgun robbed the guards and stole several canisters from the transport vehicle. These canisters were later found to be empty of any money.

The suspects fled the scene before police arrived. However, a subsequent search of the area led to the discovery of the suspects’ abandoned getaway vehicle, which had been reported stolen out of Dallas, TX.

Following a diligent investigation, Pasadena Police Detectives identified and arrested two individuals involved in the robbery. A search warrant was also executed at a residence. During the investigation, officers recovered a second vehicle involved in the crime, which was also reported stolen, along with firearms and armored vests.

The two men arrested and charged in connection with the incident are:

  • Pedro Sifuentes, 26 years old, charged with Tampering with Evidence and Aggravated Robbery. Sifuentes was arrested by the Pasadena Police Department and is currently in custody at the Harris County jail.
  • Irvin Ramos, 32 years old, charged with Aggravated Robbery. Ramos was arrested with the assistance of the Sugar Land Police Department SWAT team and is currently being held at the Fort Bend County jail on additional drug-related charges. He is awaiting transport to Harris County for the warrant filed by Pasadena Police Detectives.
