61-Year-Old Man Found Fatally Shot Under Northwest Freeway Overpass

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 13400 Northwest Freeway (U.S. Highway 290) service road at approximately 2:50 p.m. on Wednesday, December 11.

The identity of the deceased male, 61, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

According to HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W. Dunn and Detective L. Brooks, patrol officers responded to reports of a deceased male under the Northwest Freeway underpass. The man was found lying under a blanket. Houston Fire Department paramedics arrived on the scene, determined the man had sustained gunshot wounds, and pronounced him deceased.

At this time, there are no known witnesses or suspects.
