60-Year-Old Arrested for Murder After Fatal Shooting in Cleveland Home

A shooting on March 21, 2025, left an 84-year-old man dead at a residence in the 1200 block of Hales Drive. Deputies from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of the incident at approximately 6:30 p.m. Upon arrival, emergency medical services pronounced the elderly male deceased at the scene.
Investigators from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit, along with Crime Scene Investigators and the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, arrived on-site to conduct the investigation.
60-year-old Tim Ray Knowlton was taken into custody at the scene and charged with Murder. Preliminary findings suggest that a physical altercation took place between the elderly male and a female resident of the home. During the altercation, the female’s son, Knowlton, allegedly produced a firearm and shot the victim.
This incident appears to be isolated, involving only the residents of the home, and there is no threat to the public.
