55-year-old Woman Arrested High-Speed Pursuit, Arrested for DWI
On January 27, 2024, a routine traffic stop took a concerning turn when a driver refused to comply, leading law enforcement on a brief pursuit. The incident unfolded in the 3800 block of Atascocita Road in Humble, where a deputy from Constable Mark Herman’s Office initiated the stop.
The pursuit came to an end in the 14200 block of East Sam Houston North in Houston, where the driver was identified as 55-year-old Tonnette Carter. Upon apprehension, Carter displayed multiple signs of intoxication, prompting the administration of Standardized Field Sobriety Tests.
The test results confirmed suspicions, leading to Carter’s arrest. She was subsequently booked into the Harris County Jail on charges of Evading in a Motor Vehicle and Driving While Intoxicated. The total bond for her release was set at $10,100.00 by the 177th District Court and County Court 14.
