17-Year-Old Charged with Assaulting Deputy During Harris County Teen Takeover Investigation

SPRING, Texas – A 17-year-old girl has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault against a public servant following an investigation into a “Teen Takeover” incident in Harris County.
According to the Harris County Constable Precinct 4, deputies filed charges and obtained a felony warrant for 17-year-old Tia Cail on May 28, 2026.
The charge stems from an incident that occurred May 23 in the 19500 block of Country Canyon Drive in Spring.
Investigators said Sgt. Alejo reviewed body camera footage from the incident and identified Cail as the suspect involved in the alleged assault on a law enforcement officer.
Following the investigation, deputies secured a felony warrant for her arrest.
Authorities later located Cail in the 3000 block of Hirschfield Road, where she was taken into custody without incident.
Cail was booked into the Harris County Jail and is awaiting bond proceedings in the 176th District Court.
“Outstanding investigative work by our deputies led to the identification and arrest of this suspect,” said Mark Herman. “Violence against law enforcement officers will not be tolerated, and those responsible will be held accountable.”
The case remains under investigation by Constable Mark Herman’s Office.
