13-Year-Old With Criminal Record Arrested After Stolen Vehicle Pursuit in Harris County

On January 21, 2024, deputies from Constable Mark Herman’s Office conducted a routine traffic stop in the 17700 block of West Lake Houston Parkway in Atascocita. The driver of the vehicle, however, refused to comply, initiating a brief pursuit by Constable Deputies.

Subsequently, law enforcement successfully halted the vehicle, and upon identification, it was revealed that the driver was a 13-year-old juvenile male.

Further investigation uncovered that the vehicle was recently reported stolen, and the young driver had a prior history, having been previously arrested for Burglary of a Motor Vehicle and Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle.

The juvenile male was taken into custody and later booked into the Harris County Juvenile Detention Center. Charges filed against him include Evading Arrest in a Motor Vehicle and Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle.
