Young Woman Driving at High Rate of Speed Dies in Southwest Houston Crash
Houston police are currently investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 9000 South Dairy Ashford in southwest Houston around 4:35 a.m. on December 1.
The victim, a 21-year-old female, has not been identified pending notification to her family by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
Preliminary findings indicate that the female was driving a white Toyota Camry southbound at a high rate of speed when the vehicle veered off the roadway, colliding head-on with a tree. Following the initial impact, the vehicle spun and collided with a second tree, resulting in the car splitting in half. The female driver was ejected from the vehicle, and Houston Fire Department medics, upon arrival, pronounced her deceased at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
