Woman Killed After Off-Road Vehicle Overturns at Houston Event; Police Searching for Witnesses

HOUSTON, Texas — Houston police are investigating a fatal crash involving an off-road vehicle that left a 25-year-old woman dead and another person injured.
Investigators identified the victim as Deanna Wilson, 25, who was a passenger in a Can-Am Maverick Sport four-seater during an event at the reported location.
According to the Houston Police Department Vehicular Crimes Division, the off-road vehicle — described as dark gray with neon yellow or green accents — overturned at some point during the event. Both Wilson and the 26-year-old male driver were injured in the crash.
Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the two to area hospitals, where doctors later pronounced Wilson deceased. The driver is expected to survive his injuries.
Police said additional witnesses left the scene with the vehicle following the crash, and investigators are now working to locate both the vehicle and individuals who may have information about what happened.
The crash remains under investigation.
