Woman Driver Arrested for DWI After Crash on North Sam Houston Parkway West

On January 14, 2024, deputies from Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to a vehicle crash in the 3400 block of the North Sam Houston Parkway West.

One of the drivers involved was transported to Willowbrook Methodist for non-life-threatening injuries.

The at-fault driver, identified as 29-year-old Karen Xiomara Coreas, displayed multiple signs of intoxication.

A series of Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were administered, determining that Coreas was intoxicated. She also provided a specimen of her breath, revealing a blood alcohol content of 0.201.

Coreas was subsequently arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, facing charges of Driving While Intoxicated. Her bond was set at $100.00 out of County Court 6.
