TOMBALL, Texas – A 23-year-old woman has been charged with murder following an overnight shooting in Tomball that left a 25-year-old man dead, authorities said.

Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 24700 block of Hufsmith Kohrville Road, where they found Malcolm Wayne Lee unresponsive with apparent gunshot wounds. He was transported to a hospital and pronounced deceased upon arrival.

While deputies were still at the scene, they learned the suspected shooter had fled through a wooded area prior to their arrival. Deputies worked with partner agencies to establish a perimeter and locate the suspect.

Crime Scene Investigators and Homicide detectives conducted the follow-up investigation. Detectives later charged Emily Rose Seeman, 23, with murder in Lee’s death.

Investigators determined Seeman and Lee had previously been in a dating relationship. Authorities said Lee and his new girlfriend had gone to the location to visit a friend, where Seeman was already present. An argument between Lee and Seeman allegedly followed and ultimately led to the shooting.

Seeman was booked into the Harris County Jail.
