Woman Arrested for Kicking Deputy, Punching Jailer in Humble Incident

HUMBLE, TX – On Saturday, January 3, 2026, deputies with Harris County Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to a disturbance call in the 7200 block of Foxtail Meadow Court. Upon arrival, deputies identified the female involved as 54-year-old Darlene Slaughter, a convicted felon with an active warrant for assault. She was detained on the open warrant.
During a search by a female deputy, Slaughter physically resisted, kicking the officer and causing injury. She had to be subdued by force and handcuffed. After being transported to the Harris County Jail, she punched a jailer in the face, also causing pain. Further investigation revealed that Slaughter was out on bond for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon at the time of the incident.
Slaughter was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with two counts of Assault on a Peace Officer. Her total bond was set at $90,000 by the 496th District Court.
