Woman Arrested After Shoplifting and Fleeing From Officers

On December 11, 2023, deputies from Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to a call for assistance from a neighboring police department at the 16500 block of the North Freeway. The call was in reference to a female suspect who had allegedly stolen over $1,000.00 worth of merchandise and fled the scene in a vehicle.

Upon their arrival, deputies successfully located and apprehended the female suspect. However, she initially provided them with a false name and date of birth. Through further investigation, deputies positively identified the suspect as 43-year-old Monique Gunner, who was discovered to have an open warrant for Theft.

Monique Gunner was subsequently handed over to the neighboring agency, and a Failure to Identify-Fugitive warrant was issued. Her bond was set at $1,010.00, as determined by County Court 3.
