Woman Arrested After Assaulting Planet Fitness Employee in Harris County

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — A woman accused of assaulting a gym employee inside a Planet Fitness location in northwest Harris County has been arrested, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded April 21, 2026, at approximately 6:45 p.m. to the Planet Fitness after receiving reports of an assault.

Investigators said a 20-year-old female employee suffered minor injuries during the incident.

Detectives with the sheriff’s office Violent Offenders Unit later determined the suspect was a member of the gym.

According to investigators, the suspect requested a tour of additional amenities inside the facility before allegedly assaulting the employee in an area outside the view of the main workout floor.

Authorities said the suspect fled immediately after the incident.

Detectives identified the suspect as 25-year-old Yamilet Rubio Carcamo and obtained an arrest warrant charging her with assault.

On May 15, 2026, members of the Harris County Violent Persons Task Force, assisted by the sheriff’s office District 6 Crime Reduction Unit, located and arrested Carcamo.

She was booked into the Harris County Jail.
