Walmart Employee Arrested for Theft Following Internal Investigation in Harris County

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — A Walmart employee was arrested after an internal investigation revealed repeated thefts totaling more than $1,300, authorities said.

The incident occurred April 8, 2026, when deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to a Walmart store in the 24800 block of Aldine Westfield Road. Store management reported that an employee, identified as Jason Jones, had been stealing merchandise from the business.

According to investigators, Jones carried out 43 separate transactions between February and April, taking approximately $1,321 worth of merchandise.

Deputies took Jones into custody at the scene. He was booked into the Harris County Jail and charged with theft. His bond was set at $100 out of County Court 6.
