Unlicensed Spring Valley Chiropractor Sentenced to 25 Years for Child Molestation
On Tuesday Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg announced the sentencing of Stuart Fraser White, a 66-year-old unlicensed chiropractor, to 25 years in prison for the super aggravated sexual assault of a child under the age of six.
White was found guilty by a Harris County jury after a 14-day trial that concluded in December. The charges stemmed from the abuse of a 5-year-old female relative at his Spring Valley residence. The child disclosed the abuse in 2014, leading to White’s arrest.
The jury heard evidence of multiple incidents and additional victims predating the disclosure by the 5-year-old. White, facing the possibility of life in prison without parole, opted for the judge to determine his sentence.
Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg emphasized the importance of seeking justice for the most vulnerable victims in the community, stating, “Our children are the most vulnerable victims in our community, and when they are hurt or abused, especially by someone they should be able to trust, it is our duty to seek justice for them.”
Thanks to legislation passed by the state legislature, convicted child molesters who abuse young children must serve a minimum of 25 years in prison. Assistant District Attorney Denise Nichols, chief of the DA’s Crimes Against Children Division, handled the case and stressed the severity of the crime, saying, “The legislature gave this type of crime such a high minimum because they felt it was a very serious offense that deserved a strict punishment.”
White, who was not licensed to practice chiropractic in Texas, will remain behind bars until he is 91 years old, according to the judge’s sentencing. The district attorney’s office has prioritized such cases, adding prosecutors to expedite trials related to crimes against children.
