Two-Vehicle Crash in The Woodlands Leaves One Critically Injured, Passenger Trapped

The Woodlands, TX – Emergency crews responded to a serious collision Monday morning, December 8th, in The Woodlands that left one person critically injured.
Just before 7:00 a.m., The Woodlands Fire Department, Needham Fire & Rescue/Montgomery County ESD#4, and Montgomery County Hospital District were dispatched to a crash at the intersection of Research Forest Drive and Cochrans Crossing. As units were en route, the call was upgraded to an entrapment situation.
Battalion 102 arrived first and reported a two-vehicle collision with one person trapped inside a vehicle. Firefighters used rescue tools to remove the passenger door and safely extricated the individual, who was transported to Memorial Hermann in critical condition. Two other people involved in the crash were also treated at the scene and transported to local hospitals.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and Texas Department of Public Safety are investigating the cause of the collision. Authorities have not released any information on the identities of those involved or the condition of the other patients beyond initial reports.
