HARRIS COUNTY, TX — Two 17-year-olds wanted in connection with an aggravated robbery investigation were taken into custody Saturday afternoon by a deputy with Constable Mark Herman’s Office.

On February 7, 2026, Deputy Blackerby was patrolling near the 2400 block of Hartsel Forest Trail in far north Houston when he observed two individuals he recognized from a recent shooting investigation. The suspects were identified as Jamir Cook and Joshua Jackson.

After confirming both had active Harris County warrants for Aggravated Robbery with a Deadly Weapon, Deputy Blackerby took the teens into custody without incident.

Cook’s bond has not yet been set. Jackson received a $50,000 bond issued by the 263rd District Court.

Constable Mark Herman emphasized the importance of proactive policing in the arrest.

“Proactive patrols and alert deputies are essential to removing violent offenders from our streets and keeping our communities safe,” Herman said.
