Two Teenagers Arrested in Fatal Shooting of Woman at Lockwood Drive Convenience Store
Suspects identified and arrested

Two 16-year-old male suspects have been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of Faridah Davis, 45, at a convenience store located at 4718 Lockwood Drive in the Kashmere Gardens area on December 13, 2024. The suspects, who are currently in custody at the Harris County Juvenile Detention Center, face charges of murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Houston Police officers were called to the scene at approximately 5:45 p.m. and found Davis unresponsive in the driver’s seat of her vehicle, having suffered at least one gunshot wound. Paramedics transported her to an area hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

Detectives learned that Davis had arrived at the store with her husband as a passenger. After an employee asked the husband to leave, he returned to the vehicle, where an unknown male suspect fired shots into the car as it was leaving the parking lot. The vehicle rolled a short distance before stopping, and the husband exited the vehicle and ran. A second suspect then fired shots at him. The two suspects fled on foot, while two other family members in the back seat were not injured.

On December 14, detectives released surveillance images of the suspects, leading to their identification. One was arrested on December 16, and the second was taken into custody on December 18.
