On August 2, 2025, at approximately 2:00 a.m., officers with the Conroe Police Department responded to a major crash in the 2300 block of White Oak Blvd at Park Blvd. Upon arrival, officers found a white Kia Soul fully engulfed in flames.

Several civilians at the scene had pulled four occupants from the burning vehicle before emergency crews arrived. All four were transported to local hospitals—one in very critical condition and three in critical but stable condition.

The 22-year-old driver and one passenger were unable to be rescued and were pronounced deceased at the scene. The Conroe Fire Department extinguished the vehicle fire.

According to preliminary findings by the Conroe Police Department’s Traffic Fatality Reconstruction Unit, the Kia Soul had been traveling westbound on White Oak Blvd at a high rate of speed when it left the roadway at an intersection and struck a tree head-on. Speed and alcohol are believed to be contributing factors.

The victims range in age from 16 to 22. The investigation is ongoing, and the names of those involved have not been released.
