Two Homicides in Northwest Harris County Connected, Two Females Dead

Around 9:00pm, Harris County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call in the 9700 block of Wortham Blvd, where they discovered the body of a 66-year-old woman dead from multiple gunshot wounds and other trauma.

Early this morning, another call came in from a home on Deep Meadow. A 12-year-old girl reported being sexually assaulted, and deputies found a 42-year-old woman fatally shot inside the residence.

Authorities believe the two crime scenes are connected, as both occurred in close proximity late last night and involved victims who appear to be related.

A 25-year-old male relative of the victims has been detained at one of the scenes and is being questioned. The young girl is receiving medical care.
