Odessa, TX – Two suspects are behind bars after Odessa Police responded to an early morning alarm at Tractor Supply, located at 1511 W. I-20 Service Road, around 2 a.m. on Friday, November 7, 2025.

When officers arrived, they spotted three individuals attempting to load several go-karts and an ATV into the back of a pickup truck. As soon as they noticed police, the suspects fled on foot in an effort to avoid arrest.

Officers quickly located and arrested two of the suspects, identified as 35-year-old Gabriela Ochoa and 34-year-old Adrian Rangel. A search of the pickup revealed marijuana and a handgun.

Investigators later learned that both Ochoa and Rangel already had outstanding warrants from Midland County for theft greater than $2,500.

In addition to their existing warrants, Ochoa and Rangel were both charged with:

  • Theft (State Jail Felony)
  • Criminal Mischief (Class B Misdemeanor)
  • Possession of Marijuana (Class B Misdemeanor)

Rangel faces an additional charge of Unlawfully Carrying a Weapon (Class A Misdemeanor).

The Odessa Police Department expressed appreciation to the Ector County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance in tracking down and arresting the suspects.

Police say they hope these arrests will put a temporary stop to Ochoa and Rangel’s string of thefts.
