Travis County DA Dismisses Charges Against MedtoMarket CEO and Capital Mortuary Owner

TRAVIS COUNTY, TX — The Travis County District Attorney’s Office has filed motions to dismiss Abuse of a Human Corpse Without Legal Authority and Aggravated Perjury charges against Dr. Aaron Ali, 53, CEO of MedtoMarket, and the Abuse of a Corpse charge against Adeline Bui, 50, owner of Capital Mortuary Services.

However, Bui’s five Tampering with Government Records cases will continue to be prosecuted by the office’s Public Integrity and Complex Crimes Division.

District Attorney José Garza said the dismissals followed a careful review of the evidence, which showed sufficient legal defenses that precluded moving forward on the felony charges.

Both individuals had previously self-surrendered in April 2025 after being charged with the offenses. The motions to dismiss were filed on October 14, 2025.
