Three-Year Investigation Leads to Arrests in 2021 Baytown Murder of Pregnant Woman
Baytown Police, along with Special Investigations Division (SID), SWAT, K9, and Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) units, have arrested 22-year-old Aaron Heads Jr. and 25-year-old Deavonte Williams, both from Baytown, in connection with the 2021 murder of 23-year-old Domonique Million. Active warrants have also been issued for 25-year-old Larry Harris and 22-year-old Zaviay Turner, who are currently in custody at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ). All four men are documented gang members. The Harris County District Attorney’s Office has accepted murder charges for all involved.
The arrests come after a dedicated three-year investigation involving the use of the National Integrated Ballistic Information Network (NIBIN), assistance from the ATF, and specialized work by Baytown’s in-house digital forensics unit. Police Chief John Stringer commended the officers’ efforts, stating, “Our dedicated team has worked tirelessly over the past three years to ensure justice is served. Utilizing NIBIN and leveraging the specialized knowledge of our in-house digital forensics unit, we conducted a thorough investigation that highlights our commitment to public safety. The tragic loss of Domonique Million emphasizes the seriousness of our work, and we will continue to pursue every lead to hold those responsible accountable.”
The original incident occurred on May 24, 2021, when Baytown Police responded to shots fired at The Brixton Apartments on Garth Road. Investigation revealed that occupants in a maroon and a black vehicle exchanged gunfire near the apartment complex. A stray bullet entered a nearby apartment, fatally striking Million in the head. She was seven months pregnant at the time; her baby survived.
This significant breakthrough underscores Baytown Police’s commitment to justice and the persistence of law enforcement in solving complex cases.
