Three Fatal Weekend Shootings Under Investigation in Houston

The first incident happened around 12:35 p.m. Sunday, November 9, at an apartment complex in the 12300 block of Fleming Drive. Officers found a 21-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound in a walkway between buildings. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Investigators believe the victim was involved in a brief altercation with multiple individuals, at least one of whom was known to him. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

Another deadly shooting occurred Friday afternoon, November 7, around 4 p.m. in the 3100 block of Blalock Road. Responding officers discovered 50-year-old Gerardo Villalobos Salgado deceased inside a vehicle with a gunshot wound. At this time, detectives have not identified a suspect or determined a motive.

In a third case, officers were called to a parking lot in the 9500 block of Homestead Road around 4 p.m. Sunday, November 9. A man was found shot and pronounced dead at the scene by Houston Fire Department paramedics. Witnesses told investigators the shooting followed a verbal altercation. The victim’s identity remains pending verification.
