Three arrested after Beaumont police chase in stolen truck linked to ATM theft attempt

BEAUMONT, Texas – Three suspects are behind bars after leading Beaumont police on a high-speed pursuit in a stolen pickup early Thursday morning, following an attempted ATM theft.
Around 4:49 a.m. on November 6, officers were called to the Holiday Inn Express at 7140 Eastex Freeway after a victim reported their Ford F-250 had been stolen. The owner was actively tracking the vehicle and provided its real-time location to police.
When officers found the truck and tried to pull it over, the driver refused to stop and sped away, leading police on a chase that crossed into Orange County. The pursuit ended when the stolen vehicle crashed into a telephone pole. Officers spotted three suspects running from the scene.

A heavy-duty chain was found attached to the truck’s hitch, a tool often used in ATM thefts. K-9 Sergeant Lisenby and his partner, Loki, tracked and located all three suspects after an extensive search.
Investigators determined the suspects had attempted to break into an ATM in Beaumont before being found in the stolen truck.
The driver, identified as Hasan, faces charges of evading arrest in a motor vehicle, theft (third degree), and engaging in organized criminal activity. Passengers Colbert and Skinner were charged with evading on foot and engaging in organized criminal activity.
All three were booked into the Jefferson County Correctional Facility.
The Beaumont Police Department praised the swift coordination between officers and K-9 Loki, whose teamwork helped bring the suspects safely into custody and recover the stolen vehicle.
