Theft Investigation Leads to Fugitive’s Arrest in South Belt/Ellington Area
Blake Garcia

Early Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at approximately 1:53 a.m., Harris County Precinct Two deputies responded to a theft call at a business in the 11000 block of S Sam Houston Parkway East in the South Belt/Ellington area.

Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the store clerk, who reported that two males had stolen merchandise and fled without paying. The clerk provided deputies with the license plate number of the suspects’ vehicle.

Deputies tracked the registered owner of the vehicle to a residence a few blocks away and found the car parked on the street. Inside the vehicle, deputies detained three males, one of whom initially refused to identify himself.

After confirming his identity, deputies learned that Blake Garcia had an outstanding warrant from Wharton County for a probation violation. Garcia was arrested on the warrant and for failure to identify as a fugitive.
