Theft in Progress Leads to Three Arrests on Sam Houston Parkway
Three individuals were arrested on February 23, 2025, after being caught in a theft in progress at a business in the 8500 block of S Sam Houston Parkway E.
Harris County Constable Jerry Garcia’s office deputies responded to a call regarding a suspicious vehicle parked near a fire exit, possibly waiting for two suspects who were inside the business concealing merchandise in a duffel bag.
Deputies observed the two suspects exiting the business and running toward the waiting vehicle. As the suspects entered the vehicle with the stolen merchandise and attempted to flee, deputies performed a traffic stop and safely detained all three individuals without incident.
The Harris County District Attorney’s office accepted charges against the following suspects:
- Christina Melton, 34: Misdemeanor Aggregate Theft
- Robert Bolden, 54: Felony Aggregate Theft
- Howard Jones, 56: Misdemeanor Theft
