Teenager Killed in Single-Vehicle Crash in Northeast Harris County

Houston police are investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred at 1000 Magnolia Point Drive around 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 17.
An 18-year-old male passenger was killed in the incident. His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
According to HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R. Dallas and Officer T. Hudson, the driver of a gray Ford Mustang was traveling westbound on Magnolia Point Drive when, for unknown reasons, they lost control of the vehicle. The Mustang struck a culvert, flipped over, and came to rest on its hood.
The passenger was ejected from the vehicle and was transported by Life Flight helicopter to Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased. The driver remained in the vehicle and was pulled out by bystanders. The driver was then transported to an area hospital and is currently in critical condition.
No other vehicles were involved in this crash. The investigation is ongoing.
