Teen Killed at Large Party in East Harris County

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas—A 17-year-old male was shot and killed at a party in east Harris County on Saturday night, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
At approximately 11:15 p.m. on August 30, patrol units were dispatched to the 14700 block of Waldine in response to a shooting. Upon arrival, deputies found Angel Garcia, 17, with gunshot wounds. He was later pronounced deceased at the scene.
Homicide detectives learned that Garcia had been attending a party with his girlfriend, which had an estimated 200 people in attendance. A brief altercation took place after Garcia was approached by several Hispanic males, who then shot him. Witnesses fled the scene before or as deputies arrived.
Investigators believe that the suspects were specifically targeting Garcia and that the interaction was not random. The suspects are described as three to four Hispanic males, ranging from their late teens to early 20s. There is no vehicle description at this time.
