HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A teenage suspect has been arrested nearly two months after a Halloween party in northwest Harris County turned violent, leaving three people wounded by gunfire.

According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to a residence in the 9200 block of Cornette Drive on Saturday, October 25, 2025, after receiving multiple reports of shots fired at a large Halloween gathering. Investigators said the party had been advertised on Instagram and drew an estimated 100 attendees.

During the event, an argument broke out involving the suspect, his girlfriend, and several others. The dispute escalated when the suspect allegedly pulled out a semi-automatic handgun and fired multiple rounds into the crowd.

Three adult men were struck by gunfire and transported to area hospitals. All were listed in stable condition. The shooter fled the scene before deputies arrived.

Witnesses initially described the suspect as a young Hispanic male wearing a black skeleton costume. Detectives with the HCSO Violent Crimes Unit took over the investigation and later identified the suspect as 19-year-old Xavier Anthony Monjaras.

After reviewing the case, the Harris County District Attorney’s Office accepted three counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Monjaras was taken into custody on Thursday, December 18, 2025, and booked into the Harris County Jail.

The investigation remains ongoing.
