Suspect Wanted in Multiple Counties for Bank Jugging Arrested After Chase in Spring

Harris County Constable Mark Herman’s Special Operations Unit arrested a man in Spring after a traffic stop turned into a short pursuit connected to an ongoing bank-jugging investigation.
Deputies had been searching for a vehicle tied to several recent bank-jugging incidents. Deputy Cruz spotted the suspect’s car in the 800 block of Louetta Road, but when he tried to pull it over, the driver refused to stop and sped away. The pursuit ended shortly after when the man abandoned the vehicle and ran. Deputies chased him on foot and took him into custody in a nearby parking lot.
Investigators soon learned the suspect had an extensive list of active charges and warrants. The suspect was identified as 33-year-old Christopher Harris. He was wanted for burglary of a motor vehicle, felony evading, and multiple additional burglary-of-a-motor-vehicle warrants spanning three counties. He was also wanted by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office for two violation warrants, as well as a robbery warrant out of Pflugerville and a burglary warrant out of Bastrop.
The man was transported to jail, and the bank-jugging investigation remains active.
