Suspect Jumps from Parking Garage After Shooting at Officers During Pursuit in Tomball

A police pursuit of an aggravated robbery suspect ended in gunfire and a dramatic fall from a parking garage late Thursday night.
According to the Tomball Police Department (TPD), officers initiated a vehicle pursuit near 915 Baker Drive at approximately 11:30 p.m. on January 30. The chase ended in the employee parking garage of HCA Tomball, located at 605 Holdereith Road.
Inside the garage, the suspect fired multiple rounds at officers, prompting several officers to return fire. The suspect then fled on foot up a parking ramp before leaping from an upper level onto the ground below.
The suspect, identified as a 26-year-old Hispanic male, sustained significant internal injuries from the fall but was taken into custody without further incident. No officers were struck by gunfire, nor was the suspect hit during the exchange.
The Tomball Police Department is working with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office on the ongoing investigation. Officials acknowledged the assistance of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, including K-9 and Air Support units, as well as Precinct 4 deputies.
The emergency room at HCA Tomball was placed on lockdown for approximately an hour until the area was secured. Authorities thanked the hospital staff for their cooperation and professionalism during the incident.
