WEST LAKE HILLS, TX – A man accused of stealing a rare Jaguar convertible valued at over $600,000 from a home under renovation in West Lake Hills has turned himself in following a months-long investigation.

The incident occurred on December 2, 2024, when a suspect entered the unoccupied residence and took several items, including the luxury vehicle. With help from community tips and a witness, the West Lake Hills Police Department located the stolen Jaguar on January 28, 2025, and returned it to its rightful owner. A suspect was identified but not located at the time.

After further investigation, authorities confirmed the suspect’s identity as Nicholas Brading of Hutto, Texas. On May 20, 2025, a warrant was issued for Brading’s arrest on a charge of First-Degree Felony Theft.

Brading turned himself in on June 23, 2025, at the Travis County Bonding Office. His attorney had successfully petitioned to reduce his bond from $40,000 to $100 cash, allowing Brading to be processed and released without entering jail.

The West Lake Hills Police Department stated it is actively monitoring the case and working with the District Attorney’s Office to ensure it moves forward in the justice system.
