Suspect Charged with Aggravated Kidnapping of 14-Year-Old Near N. Cesar Chavez in Harris County

On August 15, 2024, Sergeant Reed from the Harris County Constable Precinct 6 was flagged down near the 1200 block of N. Cesar Chavez for a reported kidnapping of a 14-year-old girl. The individuals who flagged down Sergeant Reed identified themselves as the parents of the victim and informed him that a male suspect had driven off with their daughter. After identifying the vehicle’s license plate number, Deputy J. Garcia assisted in tracking the vehicle and kept other units updated on its location.

The suspect later dropped off the victim near 2805 Navigation Blvd before continuing to drive north. The victim reported that the suspect had threatened to shoot her father if he approached the car. Deputies traced the license plate to an address in Precinct 4, and Precinct 4 deputies were alerted to be on the lookout for the vehicle.

The vehicle was eventually located by Precinct 4 deputies, who detained the suspect. The suspect was then taken into custody by Precinct 6 deputies. The suspect was charged with Aggravated Kidnapping and transported to the Harris County Jail.
