Suspect Captured in Friendswood Bank Robbery After Midday Pursuit Into Houston

A suspect is in custody after an armed robbery at Bank OZK in Friendswood led to a multi-agency pursuit and arrest in Houston on Thursday, May 29.
At approximately 11:05 a.m., Friendswood Police responded to reports of an armed robbery at the bank, located at 301 E. Parkwood Avenue. Officers arrived quickly, gathered information from witnesses, and reviewed surveillance video. That evidence led to the identification of a gray Acura SUV believed to be involved in the crime.
By 12:47 p.m., Friendswood Police Department’s Field Support Unit, with help from the Houston Police Department, located the suspect vehicle at the intersection of Magnum Road and Dacoma Street in Houston. The vehicle was towed to the Friendswood Police Department for processing.
Officers recovered an airsoft gun designed to resemble a 9mm pistol, a bag the suspect allegedly carried into the bank, and an undisclosed amount of cash.
Michael Noil, 58, of Houston, was arrested and charged with Robbery. His bond was set at $200,000 by the Galveston County District Attorney’s Office. No injuries were reported during the incident.
