Suspect Arrested in Northwest Houston for Murder of Man Found in Vehicle With Multiple Gunshot Wounds

On October 1, 2023, Houston Police Officers responded to a shooting call outside a residence at 10210 Morocco Road in Northwest Houston at approximately 11 a.m. The officers found Mr. Hall unresponsive in the driver’s seat of his vehicle, having suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Houston Fire Department paramedics arrived at the scene and pronounced Mr. Hall deceased.

Further investigation into the incident revealed that a male suspect was possibly seen fleeing into a wooded area across the street. The suspect was later identified as Dewayne Malik Banks.

Yesterday, on November 2, 2023, 20-year-old Dewayne Malik Banks was arrested by officers with the HPD Northwest Patrol Division Crime Suppression Team without incident. Banks was interviewed by homicide detectives, and following the interview, he was subsequently charged for his role in the incident.

Dewayne Malik Banks now faces a charge of murder in connection with the shooting of Mr. Hall.
