Suspect Arrested in Fatal Stabbing on Bigwood Street

A suspect has been arrested and charged in connection with a fatal stabbing that occurred at 7314 Bigwood Street around 12:15 a.m. on June 8.

Harrison Dewayne Robinson, 55, is charged with murder in the 177th State District Court.

The victim has been identified as Alex Edwards, 37.

According to investigators, officers responded to a stabbing report at a residence and found the victim with multiple stab wounds. Family members pointed out the suspect hiding in a back room, and he was detained.

Both the victim and suspect were taken to hospitals. Edwards was later pronounced dead.

Witnesses stated the suspect and victim had an altercation that turned physical before the stabbing.

After further investigation, a murder charge was filed. Robinson was arrested on July 28 and booked into the Harris County Jail.
