Suspect Arrested in Connection with Harris County Homecoming Party Shooting

Harris County, TX – A 20-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a shooting that occurred earlier this month during a large high school homecoming party in east Harris County.

On October 4, 2025, deputies with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a shooting at a home on Bosque Viejo Trail. When they arrived, they found a 37-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. The incident took place during a party attended by teens between the ages of 15 and 18.

Investigators say the father of one of the teens was injured after several individuals displayed firearms during a disturbance that escalated into an exchange of gunfire. Two others, a 16-year-old and an 18-year-old, were also shot and are expected to recover.

After a detailed investigation led by the HCSO Violent Crime Non-Fatal Shootings Team, detectives filed warrants for the suspect. On October 28, 2025, members of the Gulf Coast Violent Offender Task Force and the Pasadena Police Department arrested 20-year-old Hugo Salgado Jr.

Salgado faces three counts of Aggravated Assault Causing Serious Bodily Injury and was booked into the Pasadena City Jail.
