Suspect Arrested in 2018 Fatal Shooting of Teen in Mid West Houston

The Houston Police Department has made a breakthrough in the case of the fatal shooting that occurred on April 6, 2018, at 2600 Lazy Hollow Drive. Octavious Deshown Hordge, 24, has been apprehended and charged with capital murder in the 482nd State District Court.

The victim, identified as Antonio McDowell, 17, was found unresponsive inside an apartment with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite efforts, McDowell was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Initially, there were no leads on the suspect(s) or the motive behind the shooting. However, through ongoing investigation, Hordge was identified as the perpetrator. It was determined that he shot McDowell during a robbery.

Hordge, who was already in custody of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) on unrelated charges, now faces extradition to Harris County to face charges in connection to this incident.
