Suspect Arrested After Shooting at Fabens Concert and Off-Road Event in El Paso

EL PASO, TX – A man has been arrested after a shooting at a concert and off-roading event in Fabens left one person critically injured on Saturday night.

At approximately 9:21 p.m. on October 18, 2025, El Paso County Sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of shots fired at the Tequilas Event Center, located at 4950 S. Fabens Carlsbad Road.

Deputies quickly located a black GMC Sierra pickup believed to be involved and conducted a traffic stop. The driver, 39-year-old Orlando Alfonso Corona, was identified as the suspect who fired at another man during the event.

The victim was transported to a local medical center, where he remains in stable but critical condition.

Corona was arrested and booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility on one count of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. His bond was set at $200,000.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit has taken over the investigation, which remains ongoing.
