Harris County deputies responded Monday, November 24th to a stabbing in the 7900 block of Highway 6 South, where they found a man in his early thirties suffering from multiple stab wounds after an altercation with another man. Lifeflight airlifted the victim to a nearby hospital, and he remains under medical care.

Violent Crimes detectives quickly identified the suspected attacker as 25-year-old Norris Trayon Johnson. The following day, Fort Bend County deputies located Johnson and attempted to detain him. He tried to run but was caught after a short foot chase. Johnson was taken to a hospital for injuries he received during the pursuit, and Fort Bend County officials plan to file an evading arrest charge.

Harris County investigators have also filed a warrant for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon tied to Monday’s stabbing. Sheriff Ed Gonzalez thanked Fort Bend County for their help and noted that added resources dedicated to violent crime response continue to show results.
