Suspect Arrested After Attempted Burglary at Autism School in Magnolia

MAGNOLIA, Texas – Montgomery County deputies arrested a suspect early Tuesday morning after an attempted burglary at an autism school in Magnolia.

According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred around 2:45 a.m. on March 24, 2026, at the Thrive Center for Success Autism School in the 32000 block of Dobbin-Huffsmith Road.

An employee contacted law enforcement after observing a live surveillance feed showing a suspect breaking into a structure housing the property’s water supply pump.

District 4 patrol deputies arrived within minutes and encountered the suspect at the scene. Authorities said the individual attempted to flee on foot, but deputies quickly established a perimeter and detained him.

The suspect was identified as 39-year-old Dominick Mazzarella. Following an investigation by the Property Crimes Unit, he was arrested and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

Mazzarella is charged with burglary of a building and evading arrest or detention.

The Sheriff’s Office said the quick response helped prevent further damage and emphasized its commitment to protecting local schools and community facilities
