Spring Man Arrested After Deputies Allege Assault on 72-Year-Old Victim

SPRING, Texas. A Spring man was arrested Wednesday after deputies investigating a disturbance determined he had assaulted a 72-year-old victim, according to the Office of Constable Mark Herman.

Deputies responded on July 8 to a residence in the 24000 block of Holleygate Court to investigate a reported disturbance.

During the investigation, deputies determined that 38-year-old Shane Villareal had assaulted a 72-year-old person at the residence.

Authorities also discovered that Villareal had several active warrants for his arrest.

Villareal was taken into custody and transported to the Harris County Jail, where he was booked on the outstanding warrants and charged with injury to the elderly.

His bond on the new charge was set at $10,000 by the 262nd District Court.
